Two passengers were hospitalised after a Ryanair flight had to make an emergency landing in Italy.

The Valencia to Milan service was diverted to Genoa after a warning light suggested a possible problem with cabin pressure.

The two passengers reported ear pain after the aircraft landed, and were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The airline said that they were released shortly afterwards, and the other passengers were bussed onward to Milan.
