Palin turkey-farm interview backfires

Sarah Palin had yet another PR stunt backfire on her today.

Sarah Palin had yet another PR stunt backfire on her today.

The woman who hoped to become America’s vice-president agreed to be filmed granting a traditional Thanksgiving pardon to one lucky turkey in her native Alaska.

But unfortunately in the background one employee of the Triple D Farm & Hatchery was busy bloodily slaughtering less fortunate birds.

On the video Mrs Palin did not comment about the slaughter as she answered questions, saying she was thankful that her son Stryker’s brigade is relatively safe in Iraq and the rest of her family is healthy and happy. She said she was glad to be back in Alaska.

“This was neat,” she said of the outing. She added: “It’s nice to get out and do something to promote a local business.”
