04/02/2012 - 10:14:21
A Syrian opposition member claims around 350 people have been killed, after Governmnet military forces began shelling the city of Homs in Syria overnight.

This fresh violence comes as the UN is preparing to vote today on a draft resolution, urging President Bashar al-Assad to give up power.

The violence has also caused outrage amongst Syrians living abroad.

Protests were held at the Syrian embassies overnight in Britain, Germany, the United States and Egypt.
