The Pentagon is looking into concerns that the Obama administration may have given a Hollywood filmmaker too many details about the secret mission last May in which Osama bin Laden was killed.
The inspector general’s office covering intelligence has informed Representative Peter King, who heads the House Homeland Security Committee, that it will investigate the Pentagon’s release of information to filmmakers about the raid in Pakistan.
Mr King, a New York Republican, said the CIA is also examining its future interactions with the entertainment industry.
He has questioned administration co-operation with Kathryn Bigelow, director of the Oscar-winning picture 'The Hurt Locker', who is working on a film about the hunt for Bin Laden.
The White House has denied discussing classified information.
