Doctors save baby after pregnant mother shot dead
A pregnant woman has been shot dead in New York City but doctors managed to save her baby, police said.
The NYPD said 27-year-old Anastasia Massey was shot after dropping her other children at school in the Queens area of the city.
Her husband had stayed at home with another child.
He told police he heard a bang outside their door at around 8.30am. He opened it to find his wife shot in the chest and arm.
Ms Massey, who was about six months pregnant, died in hospital.
Police are investigating.
