A new drug for multiple sclerosis patients has been shown to dramatically reduce the progression of the disease.
The treatment is being described by experts as a "game-changer".
Three major studies of the new medication found it reduces relapses, and delays the onset of disability.
But Ed Holloway, director of the UK MS Society, has said we shouldn't be too hopeful yet:
“It is some time away, perhaps a couple of years before this might be a treatment available in the UK, but this will certainly offer hope for the tens of fifteen thousand living with MS in the UK.”
