Memorial services are being held across Haiti to mark a year since the devastating earthquake hit.

More than 220,000 people were killed and 2.3 million people were driven from their homes in the disaster.

Aid workers say Haiti needs long term help to recover, with the biggest challenges now being disease and poverty.

GOAL's John O'Shea said: "We have the horrendous sight of almost one million human beings living in tented villages…and this is going to continue indefinitely unless the international community is embarrassed or forced to honour their obligations to the Haitians who survived the earthquake."
