A man has been charged with the murder of a two-week-old baby in England.
Police were called by the ambulance service to a house in Stockport, Greater Manchester, at 8.15pm on Wednesday following reports a baby had stopped breathing.
The girl was taken from the address in Shaw Road South, Shaw Heath, to Stepping Hill Hospital but later died.
A post-mortem examination revealed the baby died from multiple injuries.
Matthew Higham, 23, of Shaw Road South, will appear before Stockport magistrates today accused of murder, said Greater Manchester Police.
