Man arrested after tweet about bombing Donald Trump rally

A 20-year-old man is facing charges after authorities say he tweeted out a bomb threat during a Donald Trump rally in Connecticut.

Connecticut State Police said the US Secret Service contacted them yesterday after they say Sean Morkys posted on Twitter: "Is someone going to bomb the trump rally or am I going to have to?"

Police said that tweet was followed by another warning a friend to have his family members leave the rally so they would not get hurt.

The Republican presidential hopeful appeared in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Saturday.

Authorities tracked the tweets to a home in Waterbury where they found Morkys.

After determining he did not pose an immediate threat, he was taken into custody and released on US$25,000 bond.
