Malaysia is sending a team to the Maldives to inspect debris found washed up there.

However, ministers say it is too early to establish any connection to Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which went missing in March last year.

Last week, experts "conclusively confirmed" a piece of wreckage found on the Indian Ocean island of Reunion was part of the plane's wing.
