Jury out in Duggan trial

A jury retired to consider its verdict today in the retrial of a man accused of giving a gun to Mark Duggan, whose shooting led to the Tottenham riots in the UK.

Armed police shot Mr Duggan as he got out of a minicab allegedly holding a loaded gun in 2011.

The 29-year-old’s death in Tottenham, north London, sparked riots that swept across the capital and the country.

Kevin Hutchinson-Foster, 30, is on trial accused of passing the gun to Mr Duggan that same day.

Hutchinson-Foster, of no fixed address, denies giving the BBM Bruni Model 92 prohibited handgun to Mr Duggan, contrary to the Firearms Act 1968.
