Israel to end naval blockade of Lebanon 'within hours'
08/09/2006 - 12:23:33Israel will end its naval blockade of Lebanon within hours, government spokeswoman Miri Eisin said today.
The UN informed the Lebanese government that a joint French, Italian and Greek naval force began patrolling the Lebanese coastline at 12.30pm (10.30am Irish time), a Lebanese government official said.
The international monitoring was expected to spur the end to the Israeli blockade.
