Iran will agree to the “general framework” of a UN-drafted plan to ship enriched uranium out of the country for processing, but will seek “important changes” in the deal, state television said today.

The report on the state-run channel Al-Alam did not specify the amendments Iran will seek. It said Iran would officially reply within 48 hours.

Another Iranian state channel, Press TV, said Tehran was opposed to sending the entire shipment abroad at once, suggesting it wanted to do it in stages.
