Heartbreak for family as baby dies in hospital after pregnant mother shot
A 27-year-old pregnant woman has been shot and killed in New York City.
Police said Anastasia Massey was shot after dropping her children off at school in the Queens section of the city. Her husband had remained at home with another child.
He told police he heard a bang outside their door at around 8.30am. He opened it to find his wife shot in the chest and arm.
Ms Massey, who was about six months pregnant, died in hospital.
Officials say the baby girl was born alive but later died.
Police are investigating.
