The death toll from a head-on train crash in Bavaria has risen to 11, police in Germany said.

The death toll from a head-on train crash in Bavaria has risen to 11, police in Germany said.

A 47-year-old man from the Munich area died of his injuries in hospital on Thursday, police in Bad Aibling said.

Twenty people were seriously injured, some of whom are in a grave condition, police added.

A further 62 people suffered minor injuries in the crash on Tuesday some 60 kilometres (40 miles) south east of Munich.
