The family of a woman whose dismembered body was found at a flat in south Wales have paid tribute, describing her as “very kind-hearted and a selfless person”.
Tracey Woodford, from the Pontypridd area, was last seen by family at about 12.45pm on Tuesday and was reported missing the following day.
Inquiries into Ms Woodford's disappearance have revealed she left the Skinny Dog Public House with a man on Tuesday evening.
A police officer searching a flat at Andrews Court, Rickards Street, Graig, discovered the dismembered body just before 3pm on Friday.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
Her family today paid tribute to the 47-year-old whose body was discovered on Friday.
They said: “Tracey was liked and loved by all of her family and friends. She was very kind-hearted and a selfless person who would go out of her way to help anyone.
“Tracey was a gentle person who would not hurt anyone and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We are thankful for all the support we have received to date.”
The family added that they would like everyone to respect their wishes for privacy, and leave them alone to grieve at this very difficult time.
