Facebook investigating after users report problems

Social media giant Facebook is investigating after some users were unable to update their status.

Those logging on to the site today have been unable to post missives updating friends about their lives and thoughts.

While users were able to type into the status bar, they were unable to send posts.

Users were met with an error message from Facebook saying: “There was a problem updating your status. Please try again in a few minutes.”

A tweet on the Twitter page of Iain Mackenzie, who is listed as a pan-Europe communications manager for Facebook, said: “We are aware that some people are having problems posting to Facebook and we’re looking into it.”
