Democrats clinch Senate vote on healthcare reform

Democrats in the US Senate have clinched the 60 votes needed to open a formal debate on a massive healthcare reform package.

The last undecided Democrat, Blanche Lincoln, has said she will back the move in a vote later.

It paves the way for a debate to reform the $2.5tn healthcare system.
