Estonia expected to join Eurozone

The European Commission is expected to recommend Estonia be allowed to adopt the Euro later.

The European Commission is expected to recommend Estonia be allowed to adopt the Euro later.

The Baltic state is believed to have met all the criteria needed to join the single currency.

They include keeping national debt and deficits under control and limited fluctuations on foreign exchange markets.

It will become the 17th member of the Eurozone and could join as early as next year.
