Turkey's president has accused the European Union of failing to honour its side of a deal to stop refugees entering Europe - and defended a possible reintroduction of the death penalty.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the EU has transferred only up to two million of the €3bn promised to Ankara as part of the agreement.
In an interview with German broadcaster ARD, Mr Erdogan urged the EU to lift visa requirements for Turkish citizens.
He also justified calls to restore the death penalty in Turkey in response to a recent failed coup.
Mr Erdogan told ARD that Turkish voters wanted the measure, stating that "if we are in a democratic state of law, then the people decide".
