An easyJet flight from Gatwick Airport has been forced to make an emergency landing after the pilot fell unconscious mid-flight.

An easyJet flight from Gatwick Airport has been forced to make an emergency landing after the pilot fell unconscious mid-flight.

The plane, which was carrying 164 passengers, was diverted yesterday on its way to the Greek island of Crete.

The co-pilot managed to land safely in Venice and the pilot was taken to hospital.
