Debt-laden Greece refused a second bailout

09/02/2012 - 22:51:21
Eurozone finance Ministers have refused to authorise a second bailout for debt-laden Greece following a meeting in Brussels tonight.

Greece's unity government finalised a proposal earlier today which they considered to contain enough structural reforms to satisfy European finance Minister's as well as the IMF and rest of the EU.

Immediatley after the proposal was finalised by Greek authorities, trade unionists in Greece announced a 48 hour strike, beginning tomorrow.

Following the eurogroup meeting tonight, chairman Jean claude Juncker said finance ministers can wait until next week to review the situation again.
