Committee calls on EU to continue work in Syria
The Foreign Affairs Committee is calling on Ireland and its EU partners to continue working with the League of Arab states to protect the lives of the civilian population in Syria.
The Committee affirmed its solidarity with the people of Syria in the face of their ongoing repression.
It comes as activists there claim President Assad's forces have killed hundreds of people in the last few days.
The rebel-held city of Homs has been under fire for the fifth consecutive day.
Diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict seem to have been stalled.
