A Columbian factory is to begin designing bulletproof clothes for children for the US market.
Miguel Caballero has been making bulletproof clothes at his factory in Bogota for politicians and other public figures for more than 20 years.
The decision to switch to a new line of T-shirts and vests followed last month's massacre of 20 children and staff at Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut.
Caballero said he had received orders from worried parents.
The new line is tailored for children aged eight to 16.
