Chepstow inspects
24/11/2009 - 08:46:05Wednesday’s meeting at Chepstow is subject to a precautionary inspection at 7.30am.
Clerk of the course Tim Long said: “We are currently heavy but raceable at present. We had 4mm of rain last night on top of the 36mm from the previous three days. We are forecast to be cloudy and windy today, with maybe a passing shower.
“But overnight there is a band of rain forecast which could give us anything between 6mm and 12mm. Clearly, if you are already on heavy ground and get the top end of that it could give us problems.
“Once we are through to dawn the forecast is not too bad so we will have a look at 7.30am.”
