Over a dozen people have been killed in a car bomb in Iraq this morning.

Over a dozen people have been killed in a car bomb in Iraq this morning.

The attack is believed to have targeted Shiite pilgrims in an area near the capital city Baghdad.

The exact number of dead is not yet known - however it is reported up to 17 people have died and 25 others have been injured.

The victims were walking to the shrine of Imam Musa Kadhim in northern Baghdad for annual commemorations.
