Bus driver and nine workers shot dead in Baqouba
15/06/2006 - 14:16:41Gunmen shot and killed 10 Shiites today after pulling them off a bus in Baqouba, north-east of Baghdad.
The 10 men, nine workers at the city’s industrial area and the driver, were aged from 20 to 45 and were heading back to their homes, a police officer said.
Baqouba is 35 miles north-east of Baghdad and is near the site of an airstrike last week that killed al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
The gunmen were in two black cars and the workers included three brothers and six other relatives.
