A 6.5-magnitude earthquake shakes ocean floor about 100 miles off the northern California coast.
The quake struck 100 miles west of Ferndale, California, at a shallow depth of 10km, according to the scientific agency the United States Geological Survey (the USGC).
No tsunami warnings have been issued as a result of the quake.
