A 12-year-old boy has been killed in a van crash in England.

The youngster was travelling in a white Transit tipper van which crashed on an industrial estate in Langar, near Nottingham, at about 3.10pm yesterday, Nottinghamshire Police said.

“The boy was pronounced dead at the scene,” said Inspector Darren Hall.

“A 33-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident and is helping police with their inquiries.”
