Blast kills five in Indian city

At least five people were killed today in an explosion in the western Indian city of Malegaon.

The blast occurred in a market area close to a mosque in Malegaon, about 180 miles north-east of Mumbai, Press Trust of India news agency reported, quoting local police officials.

The agency said at least five people had been killed and 20 wounded.
