Valentine’s Day balloon cuts power to 15,000 homes
A Valentine’s Day gift has been blamed for causing a power cut in Southern California.
A small helium-filled balloon scored a direct hit on cables to a substation, knocking out power to 15,099 customers.
The power company said the balloon was probably a Valentine’s gift.
