A British supermarket has renamed a popular bread loaf after a three-year-old girl suggested the change.

Sainsbury's decided to act on toddler Lily Robinson's suggestion that their Tiger Bread appears to look more like a giraffe.

She sent a letter to the store which went viral on the internet, resulting in the supermarket changing the name.

The company confirmed: "In response to overwhelming customer feedback that our Tiger Bread has more resemblance to a giraffe, from today we will be changing our Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread and seeing how that goes.

"We think that renaming Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread is a great idea and want to thank Lily for helping us see the spots for what they are."
