An Austrian pensioner is facing a possible prison sentence for feeding birds.

Eva Hueber, 80, has angered the property management company on the estate she lives on in Villach, causing it to take action against her for "many years of irresponsible pigeon feeding".

The bird lover has regularly fed flocks scraps of food despite complaints from the company, which thinks the birds' mess could seriously decrease the value of properties on the estate.

Eva may now be forced to pay compensation and may even have to carry out a jail sentence.
