Odd ovine art project aims to promote peace and equality


A flock of bright blue sheep have appeared in Germany.

The farm animals – which are painted in a vibrant blue – have popped up outside Schwerin Castle as part of an elaborate art installation, Metro reports.

The sheep are being placed around the world to promote the message that "all are equal – everyone is important", and one of the animals is always left behind to act as a peace ambassador for the city.

German artists Rainer Bonk and Bertamaria Reetz came up with the idea to promote equality, solidarity and tolerance.
