Lock out sparks chainsaw revenge; man saved by umbrella

An elderly man attacked his housemate with a chainsaw after being locked out of their shared home in the US.

Guy Black, 76, cut through a door and swung the saw at Ronald Tanner, who was saved when the blade became tangled in his shirt. That allowed him to fight off Black with an umbrella.

Police in Pennsylvania said Black became angry after Mr Tanner changed the locks on the home he owns.

Black entered the house through the basement and used an axe and the chainsaw to cut through an interior door before chasing Mr Tanner outside.

Mr Tanner, 59, escaped unhurt. Black is being held in jail pending charges.
