India: Frog weddings not unusual
28/06/2012 - 17:28:08An Indian village has held a frog wedding.
Locals believe the unusual nuptials will bring rain to the remote village of Takhatpur because the amphibians are said to be able to sense when a downpour is coming, and they are said to make a peculiar noise to let people know.
While a frog wedding seems bizarre, the happy couple still engaged in certain traditional values such as signing their marriage off with a kiss at the end of the ceremony.
The amphibians even got to spend their honeymoon wherever they wanted as after the nuptials they were set free near a local stream to begin travelling to their favoured destination.
