Faithful pooch follows cyclists on 1,700km trek
A homeless dog has been following a team of Chinese cyclists for 1,700km.
The pacey pooch has trailed the group for 24 days on their journey from Kangding, Sichuan province, to Lhasa in Tibet.
One of the team, Zhang Heng, 22, said the dog even looked tired before setting off on the mammoth trip.
He told China Daily: "She was lying, tired, on the street around Yajiang, Sichuan province. So we fed her, and then she followed our team.
“We felt she might want to come along with us, so we decided to bring her along to the end. We thought the dog was encouraging us."
