Dad offers year's supply of beer to give son apprenticeship

An Australian father has offered companies a year's supply of beer if they give his son an apprenticeship.
Paul McVeigh put an advertisement up declaring his offer after his son Nick struggled to get himself taken on as an electrical apprentice, ABC News reports.
He plans to spend "a couple of grand" on alcohol for his son's future employers because he sees it as a good future investment.
The advert states: "Free beer - one year's supply. 50 cartons in exchange for electrical apprenticeship for my 19-year-old son. Local, hardworking, reliable, desperate, not a quitter."
Despite some organisations declaring an interest in Paul's appealing offer, Nick is yet to found himself a permanent role.
