Chinese man makes home in flood pipe
A 30-year-old man built a home in a flood pipe in China.
Mao Li has been living in a one-bed apartment within a pipe next to a bridge for a year.
However, his unusual dwelling is to come to an end now authorities have told him that the front door he attached to the humble abode lowers the tone of the area.
Luckily the intervention will work in his favour - as to make up for destroying his home officials have agreed to move him into an actual house.
A Haikou spokesman said: "He will be taken care of and given a proper home. We are a modern city - we can't have people living in pipes.”
