Lockerbie bomber undergoes transfusion
14/04/2012 - 21:03:20The Lockerbie bomber has undergone an emergency blood transfusion.
It is understood Abdulbaset al-Megrahi's health deteriorated suddenly last night and he had to be rushed to hospital in Libya.
The 60-year-old is suffering from advanced prostate cancer.
He was freed from a Scottish jail on compassionate grounds in 2009 following claims he only had months to live.
