Man critically ill after Galway hit-and-run
17/11/2012 - 12:33:37A man in his 60s is in a critical condition in hospital after he was struck in a suspected hit-and-run accident in Co Galway.
The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle when he tried to cross a road in Ardrahan village last night. Gardaí said the driver failed to remain at the scene.
The man is being treated in University College Hospital Galway.
Gardaí wish to speak to the occupants of what they described as a white van, possibly a Volkswagen Caddy, and a black-coloured car that were seen in the area at the time.
