CIF: Not enough office space in Dublin for multinational companies

15/07/2012 - 17:24:41

The Construction Industry Federation claimed today that there is not enough office space in Dublin city centre to facilitate multinational companies looking to set in Ireland.

The Union which represents employers in the construction industry is calling on the banks to make finance available for the development of commercial office space in the city before foreign direct investment runs out of options.

A move by banks to provide loans for such construction projects to develop adequate office facilities would also create thousands of jobs, it was claimed.

Director general of the Construction Industry Federation Tom Parlon said that there is a lot of vacant office space around Dublin, but this space is spread out and foreign companies generally want to have their operations located on the one site.
