Lagan Brick workers to protest in Belfast today
05/05/2012 - 09:13:14Lagan Brick workers will take part in a May Day march in Belfast this afternoon.
It is part of a campaign by the workers from the plant in Kingscourt in Co Cavan to secure redundancy terms.
They have been in a dispute with the company for more than 140 days after they were given just hours notice that the plant was to cease operations.
Twenty-five SIPTU members have since been in dispute with the company over redundancy terms and so far, no meaningful negotiations have taken place.
