Tulisa ex 'admits posting sex tape'

Tulisa Contostavlos' ex-boyfriend has admitted he published a sex tape of the couple.

The N-Dubz star's barrister Jacob Dean confirmed to High Court judge Mr Justice Tugendhat that rapper Justin Edwards - also known as MC Ultra - did leak the X-rated footage of the former couple, and he has apologised for his actions.

Jacob said: "Mr Edwards has admitted responsibility for publication of the video, apologised for it, and promised not to do it again."

A statement by the 'X Factor' judge's solicitor Jonathan Coad is due to be read out in court on Thursday giving details of the settlement of her claim against Justin.

This comes after Justin had denied publishing the internet sex tape - which went viral in March 2012 - at an earlier hearing, and he even described the distribution of the footage as "ungentlemanly".

On the day the video was published online, he wrote on twitter: "I didn't wanna say anything on the subject but I see peoples imagination running away.. it's nothing to do with me. #backtowork (sic)".

Following the release of the sex tape, Tulisa - who had been in a relationship with the rapper during her teenage years before they split in 2009 - was left too "devastated" to eat and slept on her bathroom floor for a week.

She previously said: "I slept on the bathroom floor for seven days ... I just wouldn't go out of the house; couldn't sleep; didn't really want to eat anything. But I snapped out of it. I knew what I was doing. I knew in my head that I was depressed; I knew why I was depressed."

Tulisa launched legal action against Justin regarding the tape earlier this year, suing him for £100,000 for alleged breach of privacy.

Please note, an earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Jacob Dean was acting on behalf of Justin Edwards, when his client is in fact Tulisa Contostavlos.
