Facebook increases share price

Facebook has bumped up the price it plans to charge for shares at its stock market debut.

The initial public offering will now see shares priced from $34 to $38 a share, putting a value on the company of around $100bn.

This would make it the most valuable US web company at the time of an IPO, topping Google's $23bn valuation in 2004.

Trading is expected to begin on Friday.
