China's economic growth slows
13/04/2012 - 11:49:55China's booming economy is slowing down, although growth is still running far ahead of the rest of the world.
The world's second-largest economy expanded at an annual rate of 8.1% in the first quarter of this year - down from 8.9% in the previous quarter.
That's the slowest pace for almost three years and less than analysts had forecast, although it's largely due to a fall in demand from major markets in Europe and the United States.
