Wigham facing inquiry
11/08/2004 - 14:55:26British trainer Michael Wigham will appear before the Jockey Club’s disciplinary panel tomorrow to establish if he has breached the rules of racing.
The Newmarket handler will appear at Portman Square over his alleged failure to correctly distribute money owed to his staff under the stable percentage money return scheme.
The charges related to the periods ending November 4 2000, January 31 2001, April 30 2001 and January 31 2002.
The panel will also determine whether Wigham, during the aforementioned periods, failed to maintain and keep a wages book or other record setting out the gross amount earned and net amount paid for each member of staff.
