Ullrich suspended on eve of Tour de France
30/06/2006 - 09:14:30Germany’s Jan Ullrich, the favourite to win this year’s Tour de France, has been suspended by his team T-Mobile.
The team were informed by UCI, the sport’s governing body, that the 1997 Tour winner, his Spanish team-mate Oscar Sevilla and team manager Rudy Pevenage have been involved in an anti-doping probe in Spain.
The riders will now not start the Tour when it gets underway tomorrow.
