Tom Mohan’s Ireland u17 soccer side did brilliantly to qualify for the UEFA U17 Championship on Thursday.
Although they lost 1-0 to Poland in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, they did just enough to qualify for the finals in Bulgaria in May – after a win over Belarus and a draw with Greece.
After the game the Irish boys faced an anxious wait for news of the other game in the group between Greece and Belarus to learn their fate.
As the news come through that they had qualified for the major tournament you can just see the sheer joy on their faces.
