WATCH: Goalie frogmarches invader off the pitch; gets a red card

Pitch invaders are annoying for viewers and presumably even more so for players and officials.

So we don’t blame Maghreb AS de Fes goalkeeper Mohammed Essoukhra for reacting the way he did recently when a spectator ran on to the pitch.

Essoukhra chased him down, pulled him to his feet and unceremoniously frogmarched him from the field.

His reward - a straight red card from the referee.

The keeper is outraged at being sent off and we don’t blame him.

Presumably the card was shown for breaking some rule about interacting with spectators.

But we doubt many onlookers wanted him to be red carded - they probably would have made him Man of the Match instead.
